Learn about the ways we automated the collection of ENG121student learning outcomes data in D2L. Our approach offers prospects for scaling assessment efforts in other high enrollment, intro-level courses.
Outcomes: Participants will be able to 1) identify suitable courses for automated collection of student learning outcomes data, 2) develop a plan for aligning course content and assignments to required course competencies, 3) create detailed assignment scoring rubrics based on AAC&U VALUE rubrics that directly measure course competencies, and 4) map course competencies and rubrics to collect data directly from the learning management system.
