Presents the following values for online classes and controversies that challenge their implementation: Openness to Diversity, Compassion and Adaptation, Application to Community– Service Learning, Instructors as Facilitators, Models, and Advocates.
Outcomes: Participants will 1) reflect on values that affect the structure and function of online classes; 2) challenge themselves to implement positive values in real courses and learn to put these into action; 3) manage traditional methods and practices that might work counter to these values; 4) find more choices for instructor class design and student contributions.
