Online environments are not inherently inclusive. This session covers online micro-aggression, implicit bias and online incivility and how as educators, we can work to prevent and address these issues.
Outcomes: Participants will 1) Evaluate online discussions to determine if an online microaggression happened; 2) Create a learning intervention if an online microaggression did take place; 3) Discuss tactics to address and mitigate microaggressions in their online classes; 4) Discuss online codes of conduct and areas for improvement.
