In response to the need for inclusivity and equity in higher education, this presentation explores realistic approaches to inclusive, rigorous course design inspired by the presenter’s experience as an SME (Subject Matter Expert).
Outcomes: By the end of the session, participants will be able to 1) Recognize approachable ways to incorporate OER in the classroom, 2) Identify realistic strategies to foster classroom diversity and inclusivity, 3) Recognize how Universal Design, integrative teaching models, and inclusive instruction can promote rigor by offering unique learning experiences.
